Artistic Director and Co-initiator, Re:Orient /Stockholm and Moriska Paviljongen /Malmö

Originally from Turkey, Ozan Sunar has been playing several roles in the field of culture, media and integration politics in Sweden. As an entrepreneurial person he has created and established arenas such as Re:Orient and the profile of Södra Teatern – long living organsiations giving Stockholm a diverse and pluralistic programming. He is presently starting up a new venue and cultural center – The Moorish Pavillion – in the city center of Malmö. The pavillion, from 1902, is a wooden building in “oriental” style, served as one of the first “maison du peouple” in Sweden. The veneu will open to public summer 2011.

During 2003-2008 Ozan Sunar worked as comissioning editor of the cultural programmes and documenteries at Swedish Television.
