De mest framåtsträvande författarna i Europa kommer tilldelas priset European Union Prize for Literature den 31 maj i Bryssel. I år kommer de 12 vinnarna motta sina priser från Tibor Navracsics, EU-kommissionär för utbildning, kultur, ungdom och sport. Priset tilldelas författare från Europeiska länder som främjar kulturell och linguistisk mångfald.
European Union Prize for Literature lanserades av Europakommissionen 2009 och organiseras i samarbete med European and International Booksellers’ Federation, European Writers’ Council samt Federation of European Publishers.

/ The best new and emerging authors in Europe will be recognised and receive their awards on 31 May in Brussels.This year’s 12 winning authors will receive their awards from Tibor Navracsics, Commissioner for Education, Culture, Youth and Sport. The prize is awarded annually to emerging authors from European countries and promotes cultural and linguistic diversity and the circulation of European literature across borders.
