Det är med stor glädje som Intercult kan meddela att den konstnärliga interkulturella plattformen CORNERS – turning Europe inside out – med 10 partners från hela Europa tilldelats ett stort flerårigt stöd från EU/Creative Europe (2014–2018). Det betyder att vi kan fortsätta vårt arbete som planerat. En stor ära och ett erkännande – resultatet av de senaste årens envisa arbete!
CORNERS är ett av 21 stora europeiska projekt som erhåller ett flerårigt stöd för denna period. Det kommer nu att finnas utrymme för utveckling av fler produktioner och publikmöten. Det kommer bl a att innebära att vi kommer att kunna genomföra åtminstone två Xpeditioner: (Apulien, Italien 2014 och nordöstra England 2015). Vi kommer att kunna gå från “research & development” till “production & action”. Det som händer närmast är CORNERS Ersboda, Umeå i november 2014.

It is really a pleasure to inform you that CORNERS – turning Europe inside out has been chosen for the EU Creative Europe grant 2014-2018. A huge honor and proof of our stubborn, consistent work through the last years. We are one of 21 major European projects to receive multi-annual funding for this funding period.
It means that production planning and tour making can continue as planned. There is room for improvement and development. All Partners are ready to go. It means at least 2 more Xpeditions (Puglia, Italy 2014 and Northeastern England 2015). It means moving from research and concept to production and action. It means building on the beautiful efforts already made until now with Kids on the CORNERS in Ljubljana, Put Yourself in My Place in Umeå, and different showcases/basecamps in Zagreb, Gdansk, Rijeka, Belfast, Umeå and Stockholm. CORNERS Ersboda (Umeå 2014) will be the first bigger testing ground in november 2014, engaging 4 CORNERS projects, a number of short DocuArt film presentations and hundreds of people. It will be documented by Fredrik Oskarsson, using a team of youth from Ersboda. Light Project and In Between will both have first working trials there.
